Find your own personal “caravanserai” at Ten Thousand Villages. Wander among our wonders in this oasis of intriguing home accents, jewelry and accessories. Echoing ancient trade routes, rich in the metallic brilliance of copper, brass and silver, this collection inspires ‘wanderlust’ through fairly traded artisan-crafted items from across the globe.
Ten Thousand Villages Houston, is a nonprofit fair trade retailer of artisan-crafted items from more than 110 artisan groups in some 35 countries. As the world’s oldest fair trade organization, Ten Thousand Villages has spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted gift items, personal accessories and home decor from across the globe. We seek to establish long-term buying relationships in places where skilled artisans are under- or unemployed, and in which they lack other opportunities for income.
